How do you charge for handyman work?
Two ways: small jobs are quoted by the phone at our hourly rate ($150 first hour, $75 each additional hour, 1-hr minimum). Bigger jobs that need an on-site estimate are quoted as a flat project price after we visit.
Why $150 for the first hour?
The first hour covers our drive time, truck stocked with common parts, and the time on-site. Each additional hour drops to $75 because we’re already there and working.
How are materials billed?
Materials are billed at cost plus 20%. You see exactly what we paid plus our markup — no marked-up “shop rates.” For bigger jobs, materials are listed line-by-line on your estimate.
Do you charge for cancellations?
We don’t have a cancellation fee — we know life happens. Just give us as much notice as you can so we can reschedule.
Can I finance bigger jobs?
Yes. Wisetack financing is available on jobs over a certain threshold. You can pre-qualify in 60 seconds without affecting your credit. Ask us when you book.
Do you offer monthly maintenance plans?
Yes — check out our Home Care Plan. Members get priority scheduling, discounted hourly rates, and a quarterly home tune-up.
What if a job goes faster or slower than expected?
Phone-quoted jobs are billed for the actual time spent (1-hr minimum). On-site project quotes are flat — if it takes us longer than planned, that’s on us, not on you.
